Why are you mourning the death of Queen Elizabeth?
When news of Elizabeth II’s death broke Thursday, a tearful crowd outside Buckingham Palace chanted a desperate ‘God save the Queen’. Hundreds of people braved the torrential rain to stand outside the palace gates.The Queen was, for better or worse, a rare common reference.
Grief experts say we mourn what she stands for, and the pass. She was the head of state in the UK and 14 other Commonwealth nations.
The solemnity may be performed, or even overwrought, but the Queen’s death resonates because she was one of our last universal touchpoints.
When a news channel aired the sad news, my emotions had some what to do with the importance of the monarchy in my life, but also with the scale and grand gravity of the occasion.
I remember whilst on the princess trust program as a young designer I was inspired by the Queens passion and exquisite dress sense, In the moment I dreamed to distinguish our Majesty wearing one of the LGN designs one day. “I brought the hat outside Buckingham your Majesty the Queen Elizabeth 2nd. Venerated is a character that serves as a common reference point for so many people.
An instantly recognizable figure to billions of people around the world, the Queen was on her Platinum Jubilee year in 1952, marking the 70th anniversary of succeeding her father, King George VI.

Steel Pulse are a roots reggae band from the Handsworth area of Birmingham, England. They originally formed at Handsworth Wood Boys School, and were composed of David Hinds (lead vocals, guitar), Basil Gabbidon (lead guitar, vocals), and Ronald McQueen (bass); along with Basil’s brother Colin briefly on drums and Mykaell Riley (vocals, percussion). Steel Pulse were the first non-Jamaican act to win the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album.

Island Records era (1977–1980)
Their first release for Island was the “Ku Klux Klan” single, a tilt at the evils of racism, and one often accompanied by a visual parody of the sect on stage. By this time their ranks had swelled to include Selwyn Brown (keyboards), Steve “Grizzly” Nisbett (drums), Alphonso Martin (vocals, percussion) and Mykaell Riley (vocals). Their debut album, Handsworth Revolution (recorded in 1977 and released in early 1978), was part the evolution of roots reggae outside Jamaica. However, despite critical and moderate commercial success over three albums, the relationship with Island Records had soured by the advent of their third album, Caught You (released in the US as Reggae Fever).
The band made their US concert debut at the Mudd Club in New York in 1980.
Tom Terrell, who would later serve as their manager, was instrumental in masterminding a Steel Pulse concert on the night of Bob Marley’s funeral, which was broadcast live around the world from the 9:30 Club, 930 F Street, N.W., Washington, D.C., on 21 May 1981.

In a 2013 interview with Midnight Raver, David Hinds indicated that a new studio album and documentary, tentatively titled Steel Pulse: The Definitive Story, would be released in 2014.[8] However, on 10 July 2014 Midnight Raver reported that, according to Hinds, both the studio album and documentary will be delayed until at least 2015.
In anticipation of a new Steel Pulse album, the Roots Reggae Library has indexed two compilation albums of the latest Steel Pulse singles. The albums are called Positivity and Jah Way, both named after tracks on the albums.
In October 2018, Steel Pulse announced their new album, the first in 14 years, Mass Manipulation, was released on Rootfire Cooperative a non-traditional label that provides interest-free loans and label services to independent musicians. The single “Stop You Coming and Come” was released on 7 December. The album was nominated for the 2020 Grammy Awards.

A Grammy award was awarded for their 1986 album Babylon the Bandit. Steel Pulse has received nominations for Victims (1991), Rastafari Centennial (1992), Rage and Fury (1998), and Living Legacy (2000). and Mass Manipulation (2019).

Once you receive your voucher, wait 14 days and apply again.
Below are written instructions:
When you are applying, if you are a single person, click ‘I am experiencing a crisis’ . If you are a family/ have children – click ‘my family is under pressure.’ – then make a note of your reference number.
Then fill in the details as it says.
If you are not entirely sure about the amount of your benefits, you can estimate within reason but you can’t make it up completely as they will check with your national insurance records.
When it asks you about your crisis and which date – put today’s date and explain that you are struggling to make ends meet due to the cost in the rise of living and the rising costs of fuel. You can also talk about Universal Credit and how the payments were reduced late last year.
When it asks for the help you need, they will only help you with general food, electricity and gas. So only tick these boxes and write a couple of sentences about how you are struggling with costs this winter because you are on a low income. You can also mention the rise in the cost of living and the rapid rise in the cost of fuel. You can also mention that universal credit was reduced and this has adversely affected you.
You can always try to get household goods. They do give these but very rarely and only if you have been the victim of a disaster like a flood or fire in an accommodation run by Lambeth. They also sometimes will give household goods on medical grounds but only if you provide evidence at a later date (they will contact you if this is the case.)
When they ask you about what else you have done to improve your situation, you can say that you have been contacting the foodbank for support.
When it asks for your energy account numbers and you don’t know them, explain this in the ‘additional info’ box. You will find this box as the last question under the ‘help you need’ section. Then you can write in ‘0000000’ when it asks for your account number on the following page.
I know you may feel that it doesn’t all apply to you but the money is there to help Lambeth residents this winter. You are definitely eligible if your family earns under ÂŁ30,000 a year.

Bishop Kamara – Jesus is the way – Motivational Bio
This great man came from humble beginnings and gave me an appreciation for people. He believes in equality and stated that we were all created in the image of God. This means that we all share the same abilities and qualities. He had a great influence on the community @LoveGodNow, opening it to unexpected dramatic changes issued in his dealings with other churches and nations.
We have nominated Bishop Karama Ministry for the following reasons: Powerful movement In international evangelism, his Teaching and preaching style is diplomatic and modernized reaching a wide demographic with a clear and precise message to the churches emphasizing its pastoral role and its necessary involvement with affairs of state. Bishop Kamara has ordained pastors from all over the world from Africa, Asia, and the united kingdom. He promoted ecumenical movements in cooperation with others. People, communities, families, and friends were all-important back then and still are today.
In the garden live every day he would visit to speak the word of God from the bible and tell people the power of Christ through to completion. I witness a servant of God a good and model lifestyle, and for the good that came from his opening of the price of the Gospel Teaching, I am most grateful that I could be a part of this Council.
Bishop Kamara is dedicated to marriage and family life allowing a “strong focus on the problems and challenges facing the family”, calling on the church to accompany them in times of crisis. Kamara further said that it is important to concretely define what married couples should do in order to strengthen marital bonds which in turn will allow them to determine how to strengthen their family life properly.
I observed that the presence of so many pastors who had been called to preach Bishop Kamara assisted with the work of ministry by installing the most extensive educational project ever held in the world. Teaching women and men of God to stand firm in and out of season and preach the word of God. During Lockdown he provided eloquence and forceful preaching, as well as a mild-mannered and soft-spoken personality away from the pulpit. He is such a brilliant man that his own council feared him. The kindness and compassion this man shows is God-given grace, Kamara was especially interested in ensuring that all the baptized participants were actively involved. His work led to the idea of a plan wherein a number of English-speaking conferences would join together to create a single text for proposed use all over the world.
I oversaw the completion of the 3-volume Video of Literature, and Bishop Kamara often recorded his disappointment in reorganizing the five-fold ministry instructing members to stay in their office and understand their gifts and calling by using a message of social justice according to fair treatment of all people.
